The largest of the four Arctic siblings (Nike, Tehalin, and enclosure-mate Sakarri), Modoc is named in honor of the Modoc Tribe from Klamath Falls, Oregon. Even though shy and cautious toward unfamiliar people, once Modoc develops a relationship with someone he reveals his sweet, gentle, and loving personality. He also adores Sakarri, often playing long games of hide-and-seek between the trees of each enclosure. Our big and handsome boy is now 12 years old and watches over everyone at the sanctuary protectively with his incredibly beautiful eyes that could break more than a few hearts!
